On May 8th, I was doing a guest lecure at Högskolan i Kristianstad – the University of Kristianstad.
It was for a class in English literature, and I did a lecture with the history and development of haiku in English (starting of course with the haiku masters), as well as a practical workshop where the students wrote their own haiku.
Many of the students were international and the class included people from Belgium, Germany and Korea.
Unfortunately this particular course may not start next autumn, because many of the cultural and estethic programs of education are closing down in Sweden, as universities are forced to save money due to fewer students.
