Scifiku in Failed Haiku!

I have four haiku on a sci-fi/space theme published in this month’s issue of the excellent senryu journal Failed Haiku. I was a little hesitant to send scifi-themed senryu, but the journal editor Mike Rehling wrote the following in a personal message to me: “Always fun to read your work! I consider Sci-fi ku to be an offshoot of senryu, so no worries on that front at all.”

I am proud to have the following poems in this excellent issue of the journal:

spring flood
the strength
of the force
small hours
a man on the night bus
claims he’s vulcan
tv dinner
he asks why aliens
speak only english
winter funeral
to infinity
and beyond
