The poems in the Red Moon Anthology of English Language Haiku have been announced. This years anthology will be the 20th one and will be called Dust Devils. The 2017 anthology will be my fourth one and supersedes Fear of Dancing (2014), Big Data (2015) and Galaxy of Dust (2016).
The Red Moon Anthology of English Language Haiku is considered to include the best poems published in English during the past year. The poems are selected by an editorial panel of editors, each of whom is assigned a list of publications, and each of whom may nominate from anything else they desire, including contests, books etc, from the year’s work. When the editors have assembled the list they vote, and if a poem gets 5 votes or more, it is included.
My winning poem from the Golden triangle haiku contest last year will be included. It had been previously published in Swedish, in my first collection Skiftningar. My poem will be published on page 52, together with a poem by Jeannie Martin from the USA.
This year, permissions were sent out late (requests for publication usually comes between Christmas and New Year. I have had permissions come on december 24, 26 and 30th previous years. I am sure I was not alone in thinking that I had not been included this year.
Dust Devils will be published on February 1st.
