Launch of a new collaboration

Today I was the host of the “Author’s book-store” at Poeten på hörnet in Malmö. I invited Elmedin Kadric and Marcus Liljedahl to read their poetry and Marcus and I also took the opportunity to officially launch our new collaboration. During the last couple of months, we have been writing linked verse together, in both Swedish and English. Most of our joint work has been Tan Renga, but also Yotsumono, Shisan, Junicho and Nijuin. It’s been a very productive partnership and we have started submitting poetry to journals. So far we will be featured in the next issues of A Hundred Gourds, Atlas Poetica, Skylark and Haiku Presence. We now have a full collection of over 70 Tan Renga in English, that we hope to publish.

During the event, guests from the Swedish Haiku Society, the haiku circle in Lund and Författarcentrum Syd joined in great discussions and exploration of haiku and linked verse. We also had a special guest from Copenhagen, an excellent Danish Haijin.

Myself and Elmedin Kadric also celebrated the launch of the anthology Galaxy of Dust from Red Moon Press, in which we are both featured.

It was a great day and I would like to thank everyone involved.
